Brinell Hardness Testing Scheme for Petroleum Pipeline

The pipes of oil pipelines are generally steel pipes. The quality of steel pipes and welds determines the safety of the whole pipeline, and the hardness value of steel pipes and welds is an important mechanical index to measure the quality of steel pipes and welds. In the petroleum industry, 3000kgf test force must be used to determine whether the hardness value of steel pipes and welds is qualified. The indenter is 10mm carbide ball indenter, and the tested pipe fittings must have permanent indentation for re-inspection.

Generally, the oil pipeline has a large pipe diameter, so it is not easy to move to the large Brinell desktop hardness tester to measure the Brinell hardness value. PHB-3000 hydraulic Brinell hardness tester is not an ideal solution because its throat depth is only 100mm and can not be measured a little far away from the pipe wall. PHB-3000a chain hydraulic Brinell hardness tester is a better choice to measure the steel pipes and welds used in the oil industry with large pipe diameter. The whole process is very convenient and efficient.

PHB-3000a chain hydraulic Brinell hardness tester is a tester with installing the hydraulic Brinell hardness test head on the chain support, and fixing the measuring support on the surface of the tested pipe with the chain. The length of the chain can be adjusted to meet the needs of pipes with different diameters. The weight of the whole instrument is only 14.5kg, which can also be easily moved on the production site for Brinell hardness measurement on the production site, The indentation detected by 3000kgf test force and 10mm carbide ball indenter fully meets the permanent re-inspection standards required by domestic and foreign petroleum enterprises.
