Hardness test Combination of Handheld Rockwell Hardness Tester

Handheld Rockwell hardness tester has been widely used in the industrial field. It follows the Rockwell hardness test principle and complies with the relevant provisions of iso6508 and ASTM E18 standards. It is especially suitable for field test.

Rockwell hardness test adopts three test forces and three indenters, which have 9 combinations, corresponding to 9 scales of Rockwell hardness. The application of these nine scales covers almost all commonly used metal materials. The most commonly used scales are HRC, HRB and HRF. Among them, HRC scale is used to test quenched steel, tempered steel, Quenched and tempered steel and some stainless steel. This is the most widely used hardness test method in the metal processing industry. HRB scale is used to test all kinds of annealed steel, normalized steel, mild steel, some stainless steel and hard copper alloy. HRF scale is used to test pure copper, soft copper alloy and hard aluminum alloy. Although HRA scale can also be used for most ferrous metals, its practical application is generally limited to testing cemented carbide and thin hard steel strip materials.
