When measuring the Aluminium tube with the Webster hardness tester, how to choose the type, we should consider both the wall thickness and the inner diameter of the tube. Many customers are doubt that they shall choose W-20 or choose W-20a, today I will make specific analysis for you in what circumstances to choose W-20 or W-20a. It is assumed that the wall thickness of the aluminum pipe is between 0.4mm and 13mm, and the inner diameter of the tube is unknown. Then there will be the following situations:
1. If the inner diameter of all tubes is bigger than 24mm, then the W-20a can be used to measure all wall thickness ranges. This is the simplest case.
2. If the inner diameter of the tube is between 10mm and 24mm, and the wall thickness is between 0.4mm and 6mm, only the normal W-20 should be used
3. If the inner diameter of the pipe is between 10mm and 24mm, and the wall thickness is between 6mm and 13mm, only W-20a should be used.
