Field Application of Eddy Current Thickness Gauge

Thickness gauges used in industry are divided into: radioactive thickness gauge (using ray penetration detection, which is expensive), ultrasonic thickness gauge (using ultrasonic frequency change detection, which has low accuracy), electrolytic thickness gauge (it needs to damage the coating, which is not suitable for the production site), eddy current thickness gauge (using eddy current principle detection, which is suitable for aluminum base) and magnetic thickness gauge (based on the magnetic principle, it is applicable to the non-magnetic coating of magnetic conductive base).

At present, the coating thickness gauge used by domestic aluminum and aluminum profile factories is generally eddy current thickness gauge. System door and window profiles, curtain wall profiles, sunshine room profiles, industrial profiles, etc. the coating thickness detection of these profiles is completed by ED300 and ED400 eddy current thickness gauges.

The thickness measurement of the coating can be completed by holding the eddy current thickness gauge host with one hand and gently dropping the probe vertically on the profile to be tested. The weight of the instrument is only 280g, small, convenient and high precision. Many quality related persons in charge of aluminum profile factories at home and abroad said that they have used eddy current thickness gauge for more than ten years. It feels that it is easy to use and has high precision. It will be used all the time.
