Not long ago, we encountered customer consultation. The hardness value deviation of the inner wall of the produced tubular parts is large. Customer is confused about what problem has occurred. The maintenance engineer of our company observed the process of the factory's quality personnel measuring the workpiece with PHR-1s superficial portable Rockwell hardness tester, and found out the cause of the problem. When using this instrument, the quality personnel did not replace the point anvil for measuring the inner wall. Under the guidance of maintenance colleagues, the point anvil was replaced, and the instrument can be used normally.

The standard configuration of PHR series superficial portable Rockwell hardness tester includes: flat anvil and V-shaped anvil, and the optional configuration includes: point anvil, diamond point anvil and slender point anvil. These five anvils are distinguished according to the different shape, position and thickness of the measured workpiece. The flat anvil is a universal anvil; V-shaped anvil is used to measure the Rockwell hardness of the outer wall of bar and pipe (different sizes can be selected according to the diameter of the measured pipe and bar); Point anvil and slender point anvil are used to measure the Rockwell hardness of the inner wall of tubular workpiece; Diamond point anvil is used to measure the Rockwell hardness of tinplate.
Suitable anvil should be selected for Rockwell hardness measurement in different shapes and positions, so as to obtain the prepared Rockwell hardness value.
